Best practices for taking measurements and providing guidance for bidding/procurement:
- Take a picture of the room.
- Check the verticals and flatness of the walls with which the development is to be connected and the angles between them.
- Measure the entire room:
a) Distances between the side walls at three heights (about 20 cm, about 1 m and about 2 m from the floor) where the front wall will run (that is, measuring at the depth of the booths/not at the back wall) – important for type I development
b) For full-height development of the room, preferably in several places on the development line. - Measure the distance of sewer inlet leads (axes of geberits) from one of the side walls. It is important to measure all distances from the same wall.
- In the case of geberite development in the form of a shelf, measure the widths and heights of this shelf in places where walls (both partitions and side walls) are expected.
- Checking whether there are any additional obstructions (radiators, central heating pipes, protruding sills, plinths, faults, etc.) at the place where the development is expected to connect to the fixed walls, and dimensioning them.
- In the case of underfloor heating, determine the location of such heating.
- Establish together with the investor his specific technical expectations (e.g., door opening directions, door width, etc.).
